By Dany Leblanc C.H.Hypnosis can be a very helpful tool to help get over sexual problems including lack of interest, sexual blockages, performance anxiety as well as situations that might prevent someone to climax. Lately I have had several clients come to me with problems of like these. Might be that other professionals feel powerless when it comes to issues such as these, who knows, I know that some of them do have this problem as the first thing I do when these clients come and see me is to get the medical history of the problems an most times request that the doctor approves my working with his patient. Normally they were sent around to some specialist in every possible field, the most popular being psychology of course but it is a time consuming process and an expensive one that is usually very frustrating.
I found that most people have usually done their homework when it comes to those issues too and one can understand, it is sex after all, and important part of a healthy lifestyle and a healthy relationship. Most times it is simply related to environmental stress now or throughout the sexual development of the client and although we might start thinking that if its just that the problem should easily go away as time goes by but the thing is...knowing that you have the problem makes moments of closeness or even the though of those moments stressful! And We all know how much thinking room sex takes right? Guy? Anyone? Well girls think about it as much its just guys have a reputation for it he he!
So the problem is feeding itself and constantly making you more and more stressed about performing and just letting go to sex and as Henry Ford said " Whether you think you can or you think you can't, your right!" Meaning that if you have Self-Limiting Beliefs that you will make yourself fail!
One way to help with such a sexual performance related problem is to stop giving it power, to stop giving it credence. I would also recommend some Self-Hypnosis (and would be more than happy to teach it to you and am actually preparing a seminar on Stress Reduction and Self-Hypnosis with my partner Mike M. Proulx C.H.) with positive suggestions specific to your situation. In sessions I use a combination of lots of stress reduction, confidence building and anchoring at first and then it gets more specific to the problem and more and more specific as the sessions go till the problem simply goes away. Now no two individuals are the same but this is usually a 2 to 3 sessions process and YES YES you keep your clothes on and its all in good tastes! Some people do ask so I would rather be out with it!
Now I would not want anyone who starts having problems to come to me right away now! The first thing to do if you are having difficulties is to speak to a medically trained professional and have physical causes ruled out. Might also be a good thing to ask your doctor for a referral or for him to approve your visiting a Certified Professional Hypnotist and NLP Practitioner like myself.
If the cause appears to be stress or anxiety related then Hypnosis would be very helpful as a great hypnotist once said "Everything stress makes worst, Hypnosis makes better!"
